Kenya Big Game Fishing

Whether hooked on fishing for Marlin or fly-fishing for Sailfish, Dorado, etc. we can offer the boats and crew to assist you with your catches. This ideally based Fishing Club, member of the “International Game Fishing Association” and fish according to “I.G.F.A.” rules  is 1/2 an hour from Mombasa Airport and right in the heart of Kenya’s best fishing grounds which range from Malindi, Watamu to Shimoni, Pemba Channel. All the crew on our boats have been fishing for at least 10 years and are well known and liked for their pleasant and skillful service on board. 15 Minutes after leaving the Jetty and crossing the reef you trawl over 200 m depth in the Indian Ocean and you can start to bait for Black Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna Dorado, Barracuda, Wahoo, Bonito and others. Striped Marlin and Blue Marlin are caught while fishing offshore in the deeper water. During your fishing trip you often see whales, whale sharks, dolphins and turtles. This is also the fishing ground for the Broadbill-Swordfish when Nightfishing. Besides the fly-fishing on the Big Game Boats, the fishing club has a 9m all-open Cesse Canoe ideal for fly-fishing and spinning for Sailfish, Dorado, Tuna, Bonito, Barracuda, Kingfish ect. in the coastal waters.

Fishing season 

December to April: The most famous Big Game fish can be cought during the Kenyan Summer. It is the season of the Black Marlin, the Striped Marlin and also of the Sailfish. There is almost no rain at this time of year and the fishing conditions are absolutely perfect.

End of May to July: The end of May marks the beginning of the rainy season. During this time of year we overhaul the boats, seeing as the heavy rainfall makes fishing unappealing to most guests.

August to November: August is the time of the Yellowfin Tuna. This season lasts untill the end of October. Black and Blue Marlins can be caught as well as Sailfish. The nice weather supports fishing and all other outdoor activities. A perfect time to escape the oncoming winter in Europe.
